Karl Mailhiot born and raised where the mighty Tobique River narrows in Northern New Brunswick eventually found his way down stream most of his career in the Saint John area working in various capacities which all lead full circle to his becoming a very knowledgeable craftsman with many mediums such as resin, wood and concrete. 

Karl's passion to create was one of the fundamental reasons for starting Trademark Coatings which would allow him to design and make beautiful one of a kind floors for people that were actually extremely durable also! Adopting a "one floor at a time" policy Karl has built a reputation for being the best at resin floor art and as someone who strives for perfection with every floor. He still is doing the majority of the floors himself and considers every one a piece of art. 

Always following new trends in the industry and live edge/resin tables gaining in popularity our artist designed his first functional piece in the winter of 2018.  Since then he has spent countless hours when not doing floors in his tiny Bayside shop near beautiful Saint Andrews NB creating beautiful tables and various hand works. He has quickly becume known for his flawless finishes and awe inspiring works and continues to strive to be the best and raise the bar in every aspect when it comes to resin creations and floors.
